This page explains the following,
1. Making a Booking For Yourself
2. The Drive Date
3. Aerodromes and Skid Pans
4. Ordering a Gift Voucher
5. Methods of Payment
1:1 – Whether you make a booking via telephone, email or by making your order via the Ride Drive website, we always start by creating a computerised customer record before allocating member of the Ride Drive team, in your local area, to work with with you.
1:2 – Your allocated trainer will make contact with you as soon as possible, or at least within 7–days, to discuss the booking of your drive date(s). As there are so many members of our team up and down the country, and who are working from their respective home addresses, we operate a system whereby each runs their own diary. This negates the need to employ additional admin staff.
1:3 – The system of the trainer speaking to the customer prior to meeting we find is a good one. It provides the opportunity for you to discuss the details of what you are looking to gain from the programme to help formulate a plan for the day.
1:4 – Your trainer will be looking to learn of your driving career background, so he or she can begin to plan the format of the day. One of the objectives is to build your Ride Drive experience around you, so as to ensure you get the very best from it.
1:5 – The meeting point will be discussed too and this will usually be at an easily identifiable land mark within a reasonable distance of where you live. The advantage in you driving a short distance to meet with your trainer is that you will have settled into the car for the day by the time you meet, instead of jumping straight in cold.
1:7 – Unless you are redeeming a Ride Drive gift voucher, which of course will have already been paid for, or you have pre–paid on–line by debit or credit card, the invoice for our fees will arrive at this time too. However, we are happy for our customers to pay for what they know they have had, rather than what they don’t know they will get, so you can settle the account within 7–days following your final outing with us.
1:8 – If you have opted to receive an invoice, as opposed to paying by credit or debit card on this site, Payment can only be accepted at this stage by BACS or a good old fashioned cheque (see payment section–6 below).
2:1 – When the date you arranged with your trainer arrives you will need to take with you the Terms and Conditions form you received from the Ride Drive office, and you need to have signed this. You also need your driving licence, certificate of insurance, and where applicable, your vehicle test certificate (MOT).
2:2 – Please be punctual, as additional time at the end of the session to compensate for a late start will not be given. Failure to attend, or vehicle breakdowns during the programme, will result in the loss to you of the programme cost.
3:1 – If you are booking a course that incorporates a skid pan or aerodrome you are not expected to make your way to the location of that facility to begin your programme. The venue concerned is a place that you will visit at some stage during the day, working on your road skills as you make your way there and back home.
4:1 – Ride Drive gift vouchers can be bought on line by filling out the on–line order form, which allows you to pay by debit or credit card. Alternatively, you can request a gift voucher email or by telephone, still pay by card, or be sent an invoice.
4:2 – Vouchers will be issued, wherever possible, with a photograph on the front of the card of an identical vehicle as that which is owned and to be driven by the customer.
4:3 – To choose and order your Gift Voucher, go to the course menu and click on the course you wish the voucher to represent. You will be given the opportunity to buy that course as a Gift Voucher at the bottom of that page.
4:4 – Payment methods accepted are debit or credit card against electronic invoice or on-line ordering procedure, BACS transfers or cheque.
4:5 – When the voucher holder claims their advanced driving programme the procedure will follow that as given at 1: above.
5:1 – If you wish to book the course and pay by credit or debit card on–line this will be processed through Google Checkout®. The first step is to click on the Add to Cart button, which you will find at the bottom of every course page. Once you have done this, at the top of the page, on the right, you will see the intended purchase added to your virtual shopping cart. Within that shopping cart there is a link to take you to Google Checkout® where you may begin the payment by card process. You can add more than one item to your cart.
5:2 – If you wish to order a gift voucher, please DO NOT use the Add to Cart route, but go to the right of the page where you will see there is another button to take you to the gift voucher purchase system. You can still pay by debit or credit card and this option will be presented to you after you have completed the order form. Upon submitting the form, this will take you to a payment processing option where you can make payment by debit or credit card, or complete payment by BACS or cheque against an invoice.
5:3 – When using the Google Checkout® system, which is quite safe, as well as inputting your card details, you will be asked to supply your name, address, telephone number, and your email address. Please be aware these details are never passed on to anyone else.
5:4 – When using the on–page Add to Cart system, don’t worry about trying to remember the name or the product code of the course you want as this will automatically be logged, because you are making your order from the web page concerned. If you order a gift voucher, and when you arrive at the payment by card screen, you are provided with a list of courses with their product codes, so you know you are making the right choice.
5:5 – When the payment is processed, the name, address, telephone number and email address you supply will be transmitted in the form of an email to the Ride Drive office. This information will be used to create a customer record as normal.
5:6 – At some stage, soon after the placing of your order for a driving course, you will be contacted by the Ride Drive office to confirm receipt of your request and to gather any further information that may be required. If you are booking the course for yourself you will be informed at this point as to which member of the Ride Drive team has been allocated to work with you. The process of arranging a drive date will proceed as given at 1:2 above.
Payment by BACS
5:7 – BACS is the term used to describe the transfer of funds from one bank account to another, and is managed electronically from your computer screen through your bank accoun ton–line. You will obviously need to have Internet access to your account, and the necessary facilities to make on–line payments set up with your bank.
5:8 – When you receive the invoice relating to the course you have booked it will carry the details of the Ride Drive bank account to enable you to make a BACS payment. You are asked to use your customer number as a payment reference, so we can identify who the transaction refers to when we check out bank statement..
Payment by Cheque
5:9 – For the purpose of paying by cheque the details of who it is to be made payable to are given on the invoice document, as well as the postal address to which to send it.
5:10 – If you have any questions, or you would like some advice on what is the best option for you, please contact us, either by email by clicking on the telephone and mouse graphic at the bottom of any page of this web site, or give us a call by use of the displayed number.
