Dear Ride Drive,

I have to start by saying I felt a bit confused maybe even insulted that my husband felt I needed a ride drive session, we had already had the car for two years and I didn’t think I had driven it that badly. However, he realised that I was scared of the car and wouldn’t push it much harder than I did the family car! What a waste of a performance car.

It took me some time to build up the courage to phone and start the ball rolling with regard to the sessions, but I now wish I had done it earlier so that I could have enjoyed the car sooner. Steve put me at my ease very early on and I didn’t feel the need to be on my best behaviour at all – all my bad driving habits soon made themselves apparent.

It was hard work breaking some of those habits, but the changes have made me a better driver. I now have a much greater understanding of road positioning and cornering the car and trust it a lot more to go where I want it to go. I look forward to being able to take the car out on the open road – rather than the motorway to work – and putting into practice all the skills I have learned.

All in all I am really pleased I have had the opportunity to learn how to drive the Honda in the manner to which it was designed and to get a lot more enjoyment from driving it.

Steve was very patient with me and very clear in his advice, guidance, instruction.
